counting again

after last time, i've decided just to practice the right hand for now so i don't confuse myself. i think on thursday i need to hear it played a few times (just the 2 pages i'm working on) and get some notes clarified. basically i need a tiny theory lesson because this piece is more complicated....and since i don't remember how all of it is supposed to sound its hard for me to figure out the right timing and if i'm playing it somewhat correctly. but i'll play what i can on thursday night.

new piece

so i lost the book with pachabel's canon. now i'm using the other book to learn fur elise, i can play the part everyone's heard pretty easily, but very slowly. the next section is a little confusing b/c i don't know what it sounds like so i don't know if i'm playing it correctly. i'm also having trouble remembering which notes are which. i'll probably just make fur elise my recital piece because it will take me that long to perfect it =(

progressing slowly

I am getting more comfortable with the third page and piecing it all together. Still a little slow, but the first two pages feel pretty good. The hardest part right now is just trying to get more and more comfortable with the piece. I am so anxious to finish it =)

frustrated

I have not had as much time as I wanted to practice this week...this week has been so busy and really stressful. I am trying to start playing the last half of the song, but it is going really slow so it's kind of like starting all over again. Hopefully things will pick up a little bit!
